Lejen Mae is the best! Love the work she did to my hair!!

I’ve gone to Maryam twice now for balayage, and most recently she also did a keratin treatment on my hair. I can honestly say I’ve never been happier with the way my hair looks and feels! She has such a great eye for color! My balayage came out perfectly blended and natural each time.

What I appreciate most is how gentle she is with my hair. Even after lightening my hair still feels super healthy and shiny. She explains everything she’s doing, uses techniques that protect my hair, and really takes her time to make sure the end result is flawless.

This was the best salon appointment I have ever had in my 50 or so years.  WOW WOW WOW was the attention to detail perfect and customer service was incredibly splendid.

Lejen Mae is the stylist that I highly recommend.  She took the time with me like I have never see before.  I don't have a ton of hair (LOL) and she worked on me for a long time.

Marc Damiano didn’t just do my hair—he resurrected it.

Walking into Marc’s salon felt like stepping into a creative vortex where intuition meets artistry. The consultation alone was a revelation. I came in with a vague idea and walked out with a shag haircut I didn’t even know I needed…but somehow, he did. That was just the beginning.

Marc took my over-processed, color-wrecked hair and transformed it into something ethereal. He lifted me to blonde with such finesse, it felt like alchemy. Then came the color melt—seamless, dimensional, and so natural-looking it was almost supernatural. My hair hadn’t looked this healthy, radiant, or alive in years.

Marc Damiano is amazing. He took the time to walk me through everything. Any questions I had , he had answers. I’m also the type who usually has no idea what to do with my hair cut once I get in the chair and so I just told him to do what he thought and it turned out perfect. He is also just an absolute joy to be around. If you need a good hair cut, style, anything, he’s your guy.

I recently came in and had an appointment with Marc Damiano. I came in wanting something trendy yet classic, and he absolutely nailed it. He added layers and a face frame that I have been wanting but been too nervous to bite the bullet. The salon is gorgeous, but Marc is truly what makes the experience unforgettable.

His energy is welcoming and uplifting—it felt more like hanging out with a friend than a hair appointment. I don’t get my hair done often (maybe once a year), but I was so happy with my cut that I already booked my appointment for next year.

If you’re looking for a stylist who really gets it and makes you feel amazing inside and out, Marc is your guy. Highly recommend!

I went into Ashen’s new location on Herschel looking to brighten my blonde for the summer and walked out with the most stunning balayage! I am in love with this salon, the location is great, right in La Jolla village. The friendly stylists and big open windows make spending a day in the salon a total breeze and if you want insanely gorgeous summer hair you’re definitely going to want to book with Marc Damiano! He turned my flat dark dirty blonde into beautiful golden fully dimensional summer blonde again. His hospitality and kind demeanor combined with his technical expertise and openness to share with me on the process, product and style made me feel at ease that I was in good hands. I will definitely be booking again. :)

Love the fact that they serve coke a cola (superior to Pepsi) but I wouldn't mind if they switched diet coke for coke zero.

Super cute location in La Jolla village. I been coming to see Ashley for the last 7 years. She always masters my balayage and hair cuts. Having curly hair it’s very hard to find someone that knows raw hay they’re doing and she never disappoints. From the moment you walk in the door every is smiling the energy is amazing and the music is great. I trust that if Ashley can’t get me in the other stylist in her salon can take care of me.

The salon is beautiful and I loved the way it is decorated. From the open floor concept to the natural light that comes in through the big front windows. It is easy to access and there is plenty of parking either in the street or in the lot next door.

I walked into Ashen salon on Herschel on a whim while passing by and I’m so glad I did. I got a skin medium fade and it’s easily one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had—clean, sharp and seriously just a badass cut. The attention to detail was next-level and you can tell they take real pride in their craft. The staff were super welcoming and made me feel right at home, which isn’t always the case at high-end salons. If you’re looking for a men’s haircut that’s well-executed and a spot with good energy and great service, this is it. Definitely coming back!

Ashley took a lot of time to listen to what I was looking for and even solicited a second opinion from a co-worker to make sure that I was being understood. My hair came out great and Im very happy.

I had my hair highlighted by Megan Flanagan. She is phenomenal with my hair. She listened to what I wanted and concerns then went to work. I left feeling and looking amazing. I think I have found the one hairdresser I could sit and say "just do whatever you would like to do" and leave her salon happy. The salon atmosphere is also beautiful. It's modern retro with a relaxing vibe I also was treated to one of the best coffees while there. I felt very pampered.

I absolutely love this salon. It’s perfectly located in La Jolla, just minutes from where I live and work. The reception desk is always very helpful with products and whatever scheduling help I need. I love coming here and working with Ashley. My hair has never looked better. She is so gentle with her color approach to my long fine hair that we lighten so I can be blonde yet still keep my thickness and length. Whereas with other stylists in the past it has sometimes broken off. We always have a good time and I love my color and she never pushes me to cut the length and will say no the ends or condition looks good. Ashley is very trustworthy with something as sensitive and personal as how you want your hair to look and feel. I appreciate her so much.

I had an amazing experience at this Salon. The salon is beautiful and is being cleaned often throughout the day. Michael transformed my hair and I'm absolutely in love. He did an amazing job and exceeded my expectations! The other hair stylists were very kind and complimented my hair and Michael for doing such an incredible transformation. I travelled from denver to san diego and had an awesome haircut experience with ashley. My hair was super thick, long haven’t had a hair cut for 2years and boy, ashley was nothing but a dream come true for me. From the moment i started explaining her she knew my hair texture, the cut i should go for the products i need to use on my hair type. She was extremely sweet, patient, detailed and responsible. I did tell this to her while i was at her salon, and i wanted to write in the review too i walked inside hershel salon like an old lady and with the hair cut that she did i walked out like a young teenager. I am still getting compliments from my friends, coworkers, family. Thank you is a very small word and i absolutely highly recommend this spot within lajolla and there will be no looking back.

What a cute salon! From the moment I walked in I loved the atmosphere, I was kindly greeted by the receptionist and offered a drink while I waited for my stylist to be ready for me.
